CheckHouston.com was founded by Brian Wright in the mid 90's. He did a great job learning the software and putting in the first 4K listing in the directory. He sold CheckHouston.com to Directory One Inc., 2001. After Directory One bought CheckHouston.com Teresa Murphy was involved in populating the directory. She was the best editor we hired out of about 40 people. Since about 92 to now we were just hanging on with more debt than revenue. CheckHouston.com has been a drain on the cash flow of Directory One Inc. We have basically been on pause for about 3 years. By pause I mean a less than 500 hour project per year. The main people working on the site now are Philip O'Hara, founder of Directory One. Sean Odom, CIO Chief Information Officer, Board Member, and Director. Jesus De La Garza, Websmaster of CheckHouston.com the last 2 and 1/2 years. We are currently looking for a new leader to take this site to the next level.
